Mazzie Cosmetics is a very small pigment company located on Etsy, great prices $5 for a 10g jar which is an amazing steal, and they’re good quality pigments. :)
I got 2 free samples with my order which is quite generous.
The owner has great photos of her products that really draw you into the product, their facebook does as well.
These are the 2 free samples that I received.

These are to 2 jars of pigment that I ordered.

As you can see the Ingredients are clearly listed which is awesome, the stickers aren’t too big for the jars like I’ve seen on some other companies. I think it would be great for vegans if it were easier for them to know which eye shadows, if any, are vegan and safe for them to use. She does however specify on her products which ones are not safe for lip use, so that is helpful.
Here are the swatches without flash.

And with the flash. :)

I love the sparkle to the colors that I ordered, they aren’t chunky or flaky at all, and they go on smooth. :)
Mazzie is a great company and I look forward to seeing what they come out with in the future! :)
Ok so Moi Minerals I had heard good things about for quite awhile so I decided to try them out at the beginning of the year. My order took a while to get to me since the company is in Canada, but I’m patient. I got a free sample jar of pigment with my order which is pretty cool. And it was a gorgeous blueish purpley color called Mercy. That color and the colors that I ordered are shown below.

Gorgeous colors but I have a problem with the consistency of some of them, now keep in mind the majority of the colors that I ordered are from a special collection of pigments, so I can’t speak for all of Moi pigments… just the ones that I have ordered. The colors from the Highbeam shadows, the sparklers option, they are very chunky and clumpy, I thought maybe applying pressure to them would make them more applicable but instead it just smeared it out and as you can see in some of the swatches it still comes off very chunky. I know a heavily sparkly pigment is hard to achieve without being chunky, but these particular pigments are overly chunky. I feel like they need to be a lot smoother in order to apply without looking clumpy and weird on the eyes.
The colors from the Intense blends that I got are significantly smoother. Those were the colors Field of Gold and Liquid Gold. They were not as flaky and had to apply.
Would I recommend Moi Minerals based on my one purchase experience? Probably not. I am curious however if all Moi pigments have this flaky consistency or just the highly sparkly ones. Let me know if you have ever tried them.
I am by no means slamming this company, I’m just stating my personal opinions about the products that I paid for with my own money. :)
I am not at all saying Moi Minerals is a bad company, some better things about my experience, the website is constantly being updated, their facebook is also, the prices are pretty good. Around the middle range in my experience in buying from Indie cosmetic companies. :) The ingredients are clearly listed, they have a whole section dedicated to their Vegan products.
ALSO, like I said, I ordered these products a while ago… some of them aren’t even for sale anymore on the website.
I had a problem with my order and emailed the owner and she quickly responded and fixed my problem asap. :) And since I’ve ordered, in the pictures at least, the newer pigments from Moi look like they are much better quality. :) You can check them out for yourself at http://moicosmetics.com. :) That concludes my thoughts on Moi Minerals, hope everyone finds this helpful! :)
So this is going to be not only a good review but probably on a scale of one to ten of my favorite pigment companies Spectrum rates about #3. :) Which is saying a lot.
The colors are so vibrant and go on smoothly, the lip balm is so moisturizing and smells great! :)
Prices are great! $5 for 5g jar, $3 for 3g jar. :) Pigments are available in different sizes which I love since my collection is so huge I don’t need 5g jars anymore. :) She has a TON of other products like bath and body products and lip scrubs and balms.
Available on Etsy and more easily reached on facebook.
There’s probably a million wonderful things I could say about Spectrum so I’m just going to get right to it and show you the products!
I ordered 1 glitter, 9 pigments and 2 lip balms. :)

The lip balms are great :) very moisturizing and they smell great! :)

Ice and Emerald are over a black base in this picture. :) SO GORGEOUS!

Not sure why this picture turned out a different color, I guess the light was reflecting differently.
So yep that’s pretty much it, I adore these eye shadows! I have don’e a ton of looks with them. :) So be sure to look out for them.
This review is long overdue. :)
But better late than never…

My order came with 3 free samples and candy! :D This is only one of the pieces since I had already eaten one. ;)

I adore the colors that I purchased! :) Especially the ones from the Hunger Games Collection! :D The only problem that I had with these pigments is that the lids did not fit very well on the jars…

…but after further inspection I figured out that was because they were packed SO full! (which is totally not a bad thing) :) To remedy this I just took out the sifters and put some on top then put the sifters back, after that the lids fit just fine. :)
The ingredients to the pigments are listed on the jars and on the website, everything is clearly marked that is not lip safe. While the individual listings on the website aren’t marked, in the FAQ it states that all products are 100% cruelty free and vegan. So it just takes a little research to find that out. :)
The pigments are good quality, they aren’t chunky or flaky at all. They blend well. They offer 3 different sizes, that’s important for if you’re not sure if you really want a full jar of a certain color. Or if you’re like me and have a huge collection of pigments. ;)
I adore Shiro cosmetics… highly recommend them. I really want to try some of their lip products next.
You can find them on facebook, or at the Shiro Cosmetics website! :)
Okay so this is a terribly overdue review! ( http://youtu.be/cNaMkPUXU_o ) I’ve had these products from Geek Chic for probably 4 months lol. But hey, at least you know I really love them if I’m still raving about them 4 months later! :)

So this is what I ordered from Geek Chic… and I’m sorry about the picture being sideways… I tried everything to save it the right way and for some reason Tumblr is still uploading it sideways. >.<
Anyways… so… 5 pigment eye shadows, a lip gloss, and powder foundation.
My order came pretty quickly :) the packaging was neat and organized, the packing for the products them selves as you can see is SO adorable! :)
I received the free sample “What’s Under the Helmet?”. :)
The pigments had stickers on the inside keeping them neat and tidy. :)
Over all my whole ordering experience was really really pleasant. :)
Now on to the fun part! :D The products!

Momo gloss is a shimmery, kind of sheer, berry color that applies very smooth, it’s very moisturizing. They don’t have a flavor/scent so that’s a plus for people that are sensitive to smells. I wish they did have some sort of light scent however.. just to cover up the “plasticy gloss smell” if you will. But that of course is no biggy, I really love this gloss a lot and I’ve reached for it a lot over the past few months that I’ve had it. :)

Powder foundation! In the color Codex! :) The lightest shade they make, and definitely the lightest shade I’ve ever found/seen for the price! :)
They are $11.99 and they come in a 30gr jar with sifter and screw-on lid as described on the website! :) There are 6 shades altogether, plus a finishing powder.

This is what it looked like applied heavily to my arm. :)

After I blended it out you couldn’t even tell I’d put anything on! :D
Just to prove that I took a flash picture… which we all know is the best test of a foundation color ever. :P Oh and ignore the sparkles lol, those were from previous swatches. :P The foundation is completely matte. :)

The eye shadows are $5.99 a piece for a 5g jar with a sifter, and there are various collections that when you purchase the whole collection it’s cheaper than buying the separate colors. The colors are clearly marked whether or not they are vegan, and ALL of their cosmetics are cruelty free :) which is a big bonus. :) I truly do hate buying from companies that test on animals. :(
\

Combustible Lemon is the color of the month right now! :) For the whole month of September you can get it for half price. :)

I apologize for not having a no flash picture of this color… I accidentally saved over it. >.<

So that’s it for my review! :) I’m in love with Geek Chic! :) There’s probably at least 10 more colors that I want from them lol. :) Highly recommend them!
I also did a short video review on Geek Chic so definitely check that out as well! :)
^^^ For a full review click that link. :)
I’m posting the pictures here anyways though just to give you a glimpse. ;)

I was really excited to try this product because I feel like my face tones are very uneven, AND I’ve heard good things about using the different colored formulas to hide dark circles. :)
It retails for $36 on the stila website and where ever else you can find Stila products.
You get 1fl oz. of product in the canister.
On the package it claims to “Instantly color correct, brighten, prime, nourish, even out your complexion, and smooth fine lines.
I never really believe it when products claim to do so many things lol, but here’s the things that *I* noticed that this product did for me.
It did correct the uneven colors on my skin to some extent, however in my heavily affected areas redness still came through, but with some added concealer I was fine.
Now I’m only 21, so I don’t really have that many fine lines lol, but I did notice that on days where I wore the One Step Correct, the lines under my eyes were smoother, than on days that I didn’t wear it.
Is it a good primer? Probably not. Is it worth $36? Probably not. Will I re-purchase it? Probably not.
BUT, I will say that it is a pretty good product for what it is, it’s definitely not a miracle product but it did even out my skin tone so that I didn’t have to wear foundation. Picture proof? You got it. :)

This is my bare naked face lol. I have no product on my face at all. As you can see I have quite a few spots that are reddish, and what you can’t see… since this picture is unfortunately a bit blurry, I have lots of dark spots or scars from zits on the right side of my chin.

In this picture I applied the One Step Correct all over my face, with a foundation brush. I was pretty impressed with how it covered my redness. The dark spots were covered, my under eye area was pretty well covered, my forehead red spots were gone, the only spots that really still show redness are my nose, a little in the bridge of my nose, and my cheeks. :) So technically it’s not really a “one step” product because, unless you have flawless skin to start out with, you still need concealer and/or some sort of light coverage product.
After this I just applied concealer, and some tinted moisturizer, and my usual blush.

Excuse the weird face I make… I’m really not photogenic at all… not even the slightest bit. lol
Anyways, final thoughts, I do like this product, but I won’t repurchase simply because the price is too much for me. I’m sure you can get the same effect using different products and this isn’t really a “must have”. And I’m really fair skinned… so I don’t think this product would work well on darker skinned people… pretty much just a pale person product. :) It really should be called, Stila One Step Correct for Snow White Girls. :P But kudos to Stila for making a product that works well for pale people! :) Not enough companies do that. They must think we all want to look orange. >.>
Thanks for reading and following! :) <3
Before I get started I just want to say I was super happy with my order from BRM! :) It came in a reasonable amount of time… the website has lots of options for people just wanting to try out the company, and people on a low budget. :)

My order came wrapped up in this adorable baggy. :)

Hand written thank you. :) Always a nice touch!

Samples and goodies in a little baggy. :) (also I apologize for my terrible looking nails, house cleaning did a number on them. >.<)

Inside was tons of stickers, sparkly confetti, a business card, and hand written thank you note, and 2 extra samples! :) I think this is by far the most personalized package I’ve ever received from and Indie cosmetic company. :) So thoughtful and sweet. :)

Not to mention I freakin’ love the packaging! Roses are my favorite flower! :) and red is one of my favorite colors. :D

The pots are sealed which is a bonus in my book :) no spillage during shipping. :)

The stickers don’t *quite* fit the bottom of the pots… but who really cares about that. :P Especially when the website, color name, ingredients, amount, appropriate places for application, and whether or not it’s vegan or not, all on the sticker. :D

This is what the color Sushi looks like in the pot. You can choose whether or not you want a sifter or not. I opted for no sifter because it’s easier for me sometimes. :)

Swatches of the samples. :)
And now the swatches of the colors I bought. :D

Over all I’d give Black Rose Minerals a 10! :) Great colors, really pigmented… Medusa is the most GORGEOUS green I’ve ever had… and I’ve been searching for such a green ever since I discovered pigments! :) I love it!! The other colors are gorgeous as well. :) The packaging was very thoughtful and organized. I can’t wait to create more looks with these pigments. :)

I ordered a bunch of sample sizes, they came in an envelope and wrapped up in tissue paper.
I received 2 extra samples with my order, which is a nice touch. :)
These are the samples that I ordered. :)

Editing mistake up there ^^^ haha I meant FLASH. I was pretty sleep deprived when I did these pictures. Anyways they are pictures of the 2 extra samples that I received.

Those are the swatches of the samples I ordered…
All in all Meow Cosmetics is pretty good. I was a little disappointed in the sample bags because they are too large, it’s harder to get the product out… and the amount of product inside the bags varied from color to color. Some had barely any in them… some had enough for a least 10 applications.
As for the quality of the pigments I would say most of them are average. The only ones that I was really impressed with were Ra, and Scarab, BFF was very pretty also. Would I recommend this company? Maybe. There’s other companies I would recommend first… but over all Meow Cosmetics is a pretty good Indie Cosmetic Company.
So I’ve been using Mon Ennui for a few months now and have been wanting to do a review on them so you guys can all see how freaking amazing these pigments/glitters are!
You’ll have to be patient with me because I took A TON of pictures of the colors that I have ordered over the past few months…
Some of them look different in each picture due to the amazing duo-chrome qualities, and some colors even have 3 or 4 different color shifts! AMAZING! :)
SO.
When you order Mon Ennui, you get your package in a pretty awesome turn-around time. It’s wrapped up in a plastic baggy like so…

When I ordered the owner was having an awesome secret code sale and one of the codes I used came with a FREE XL glitter. :D AMAZING DEAL!!

ALL of Mon Ennui pigments come with a seal inside them. :) Sanitary, and non-messy! :)

The picture above is an example of her small size jars. :) They are cheaper than the large 10g jars, and are great if you just want to try out a color to see if you like it or if you’re on a tight budget. :) She also has deluxe samples available. :)
OK! Now the fun part… swatches! :) I’m putting these under a “Read more” since there are SO many pictures. :)

My package came wrapped up in beautiful tissue paper :) with a hand signed note. :)

She sent me FOUR extra samples with my order! :)

The jarred pigments have a seal on the outside and on the inside! Very awesome! :)

She also hand-wrote a “thank you” on the seals of one of the jars. :) Such a nice thought.
These next swatches are of the samples :)

The next swatches are the sale colors that I ordered :) SO CHEAP!!!

All swatches were swatched over NYX high definition eye shadow base. :)
All in all… I recommend this company to anyone that loves highly sparkly colorful pigments for an AWESOME price! :) I LOVE the colors that I bought and will probably buy more in the future! :) Try them out!!!

My package came in a little box with a business card on top. :)

The pigments were wrapped up nicely in a plastic bag. I love the unique packaging! :) The only down side to it is that they are stickers so they are kind of un-even at times. But if you’re not picky this isn’t an issue! :)

Cute packaging!

Color name and ingredients listed on the bottom sticker. :)

The sticker doesn’t go all the way around… my guess is so you can differentiate between the colors without having to look at the bottom.
One thing that I forgot to take a picture of the I consider a Con… is that the sifter tops are strange. there’s no gap between them and the top so any product you want to get out of the jar you have to put in the top… essentially opening it upside down, or you’d have to put it in a mixing pan. It’s not that big of a deal to me :) but for some that might be an issue. :)
Swatches!

Colors from Top to bottom are: Tide Me Over, Dysphoria, Draconia, Keltoi, Cirrina, Hirundo.

Over all.. the pigments are pretty good… I liked that there wasn’t a whole lot of fall out. :) the packaging could be better but I’m not a stickler about that. :) It’s unique, and cute. And the quality of the pigments is what really matters. :) And these have it!
I ordered her package of 15 samples :) it came in a nice pink envelope with an invoice. She hand-wrote a little message, :) that’s always a nice touch!

She also sent me one additional sample for free! This color ended up being one of my ultimate favorites! :) The ingredients are printed on all of her labels… I think this is awesome. :) Her website and where it’s made is also on the labels. :)

This was how my package was wrapped inside the envelope. :) Love the personalized sticker. :)

Crappy picture… but these were the samples I ordered. :) I love that there’s a generous amount of pigment in each sample. :) and they’re all pretty even.

From left to right these colors are Alpine Dreams, Spring Fling, Lucky, and Sea Sprite. :)

LTR: Sea Sprite, Underwater Chameleon (I LOVE the duo-chromey effect of this color!!!), and Titan’s Crown. :)

The last blue color on the end is called Electric Turquoise. :)

The reason I took so many pictures is I was trying to capture the insane sparkle that these pigments have! I have seriously not seen this much sparkle and sheen in a long time. :)
Ok… I apologize because I can’t remember which is which on some of these colors. >.< Fail. But I will try my best. :)
From left to right: Citrus Sunrise, Aztec, Desert Sun?, Fortune Teller? Sandcastle?, Cloud Dancer, Dreamy, Acrtic Lilac, and The Girl Glows. :)

I couldn’t come close to capturing the sparkle right so I took a short video of it that I will post after this post. :)
All in all I HIGHLY recommend Love Hues :) the owner is super nice, and she ships fast! The prices are very good especially for the great quality that you get. :) I love my samples and I’m deciding which ones I want full jars of right now! :) She has many more gorgeous colors go check her out at http://www.etsy.com/shop/lovehues
